Graphics Drivers for Sony Vaio VPC-CA1S1E

    Hi there,

I am searching for the latest graphics drivers for the ATI Radeon HD 6470m on the Sony Vaio VPC-CA1S1E laptop. It seems that the ATI website won't allow me to download the drivers and I cannot find them anywhere else including the Sony website.

I believe the required driver version is 11.1

If anyone has any advice to give or perhaps even a download link i'd be very grateful :)

Hi, welcome to the forums :)

I believe what you are after is the 6xxxm version on the ATI support/download site.

Hey there, thanks and thanks for the reply :)

I have tried that link before, and I get this message each time I download it:

I read something about having to download the drivers direct from Sony, but I can't seem to find it there either. Pretty confused by this

As you have discovered the (reference AMD driver will not install. This is no fault of the driver or AMD, it is that Sony will not allow it (Toshiba and Panasonic are the others that do the same thing).

As for finding it at Sony,

    VAIO : Sony Europe

No idea if that is the same as what you currently have installed, but sadly until Sony changes their policy regarding drivers it is the best you're going to get.

Have you run Windows Update manually recently? You may find a driver there under Optional Updates. May be worth checking out
