    system interrupt controllers?

    Im using a
    gigabye ex58-ud5 mobo
    corei7 920 cpu
3 gig corsair 1333 mhz ram (locked at 1066 cos of intel supporting faster speeds only on the 1000$ processor)
    geforce 8800 GTS 640 mb
2 7200 rpm Seagate barracuda 200 gig hdds in raid0

now in my device manager ive got 9 items in other devices which are listed as not having drivers installed, and theyre all called system interrupt controller.

anyone have any idea what this is?

and for some reason despite being on raid0 my windows experience index is bottlenecking the final score saying the hdd rating is only 3.0, and my ram is only at 5.5 whereas in vista it was 5.9

if anyone has any ideas about either issue please let me know, thanks guys

Hi, sidsrvnn, and welcome to the forums.

For the System Interrupt Controller, I'd look around to see if you are missing some critical (or non critical) drivers from Gigabyte for the motherboard....it may not have actually installed all drivers if you ran it off the CD, so download the drivers from GigaByte's website.

As for the HD issue, I know the answer for that right now - I use a pair of 'Cudas (500 GB 32MB Cache, the 7200.11 drives) and had the same problem - see https://www.sevenforums.com/general-d...html#post10171 - that should solve your low WEI disk score *and* performance issues.

I don't have an x58 mobo yet so I cannot say. Let me get z3r010 in here to see if he knows....I think he has the same mobo.

Amen to that- I usually run into one or two at most boards I visit, but still, nice to meet them....

Out of curiosity, were you aware of this?

Nope I ditched that mobo within a few days

But I did get the same thing with my new mobo, all I did point each instance of "System Interrupt Controller" to the vista intel chipset driver on my mobo driver disk.

I was having a few power issues, so I swapped to a ASUS Rampage II Extreme instead.
