Why do you want to flash the bios? My view is that if you haven't a problem that cannot be otherwise resolved then leave well alone!

       Warning
BIOS flash is a critial step and can even damage the motherboard if something goes wrong.

Right click on the setup file and click Run as Administrator.

Both versions of BIOS are not for Windows7, I found v1.18 and 1.10 in Acer Support for your laptop, both are for either XP or Vista.HTH.

I must confess i have no idea. I still think if you have a hardware problem it is better to solve that the conventional way rather than the route you have chosen. Everywhere i read about flashing the BIOS carries a warning that side effects can be expected. What's the hardware problem you are having? What did the "Service Person" say when you asked him this question?

In my opinion you should only flash your bios when the version you want to flash to specifically addresses an issue you are experiencing. Other wise their is no real reason to.Fabe
