    Laptop Touchpad

    Hey,

I think this is driver releated. My Dell laptop touch pad is working fine for moving the pointer and clicking but the scroller for webpages etc. that runs vertically down the left of the pad does not function at all. I have had a look around the Device Manager but I cant find the pads entry to update it. Perhaps this is just something that is incompatible with Windows 7...
Does anyone else have this problem?

    Cheers,

You should be able to get the drivers from dell's website.

Most of the laptop touchpads are Synaptics - if that is what you have you can get the latest drivers here

Hi wilfree, welcome to the forums.

Have you tried downloading the driver & running the setup.exe in compatability for Vista? This can sometimes help as not all manufacturers/developers have woken up to Windows 7 yet.

    Hope it helps :)
