Hi tzman and welcome to SF!
Download and install Sony Setting Utility Series and see if it solves the issue.
If it didn't, right click on computer > manage. Scroll down to Device Manager ( left pane ) and click on it. Is there any item with an exclamation on it or any item named as "unknown device" or something like that?
