    I currently have an issue with some USB3 ports not working correctly and pooch kindly suggested this as a possible solution, so you may wish to give it a go.

    Is it all USB ports on your laptop that have stopped working? Have you tried other USB devices in the ports? Do those USB devices work when connected to another computer? (just trying to make sure it's the port that's not working and not the device that's failed)

    A couple of suggestions I've come across on the interweb are:

    Make sure that USB and other related settings are enabled in BIOS;

    and download latest chipset drivers for your motherboard.

    Have you tried that yet?
