Intel Smart Response Technology

Hi.....I just installed irst 10.6.0.1002 on a Gigabyte Z68 motherboard.I was running 10.5.0.1027 fine before this. Actually the system appears to be running fine at this new level driver. The problem I'm seeing is that after the irst service starts up I get a small irst error box saying I need to install 10.5.0 or higher;and I need to OK the message to make it go away.I beleive it's a false error detected in the service because 10.6.0.1002 is the latest and greatest.Has anyone seen this error or have a solution to it?
Thanks
Larry

Your system specs need to be more specific - Antec? Which antec?, Gigabyte? Which Z68 Gigabyte board?

Also can you post an image of the error code?

And I would use the latest drivers that are posted on Gigabyte's site - GIGABYTE - Support & Downloads

Thanks

It's a Gigabyte Z68X-UD3H-B3,The error occurs right after the IRST service starts up saying IRST error,Please install irst 10.5 or above and a OK button.I ok the window and everything is fine until the next time i boot the system. All the programs run fine and the Smart Response SSD Caching seems to be running ok.

I get the same thing as you Lat227. Been wondering why it does it upon rebooting. Odd.

Yes.....Actually I don't get the message until the IRST service starts up; mine is on a delayed start-up after booting Windows 7.The service starts after a few minutes.I beleive it's a false error in that service not reconizing the new driver(10.6.0.1002).I've been tempted to back down to the old sata driver (10.5.0.1027) and see if the error goes away.

Well I'm using the exact drivers have no issues. Remove the IRST package and try reinstalling it again.

Make sure you remove the package through Programs and features in the control panel. BTW that package should be installing the drivers as well, so there's no need to install the driver separately.

Just FYI -

Intel released a new version of the Rapid Storage Technology - Version 10.6.0.1022. Maybe this'll fix your issue?

Good luck.

Think Intel goofed on the version number there.

They're still 10.6.0.1002 and not 1022 - even though they say 1022.
