display is a mess, drivers installed badly

    Hi
I cant seem to get a full screen display on my screen.
Its either a bit to wide,(1024) or a bit to high, (the next setting up)
So i have the choice of loosing the edges widthwise, or heightwise.

Ive tried to install my ATI radeon drivers.. but they dont seem to work well.
I cant pull up the control center.

How do i go about wiping allgraphics driver software, and installing the correct driver?
    Thanks

Radeon x1650, and currently running on the default driver that Windows installs. No idea what you tried to install but wioth that only being a DirectX 9 card the only driver for it for Windows 7 is the legacy Vista driver,

    ATI Catalyst

i like the cut of your jib..

I'll download it, then make a complete uninstall with it, then reinstall..

Failing that.. i guess my monitor just isnt a compatible shape ...

and i cant seem to find a way to squash or strech the screen...
    only move it..
    but thats no good
i need to squash the side in just a little

    Its ok
    I've cracked it..!!
I looked for a review of my monitor..
and sumeone said: 'by simply pressing auto/select it will automatically sort optimise the computer signal and make the screen perfect.'

I pressed it, It adjusted the screen, and re-aligned it in a second!
    :)
thanks very much for the graphics drivers link also
now i'm all up to date.

    cheers
