I have an HP Laserjet 1320 connected to a Mac. I'm trying to get it working under Windows 7 x64, but HP seems to be playing with the Windows 7 drivers
for this printer. Yesterday, there was a link for Windows 7 x64 drivers on this page: HP LaserJet 1320 Printer series*-* Download drivers and software - HP Business Support Center
But clicking on the link got you a "File not found" error. Today, there's no link at all.
In the past, I was able to get this printer working with a generic Postscript driver
(Apple Laserwriter 600 PS) under XP 64-bit. However, I've tried a couple of other basic Postscript drivers (Lexmark and HP), but can't seem to get the printer to print anything more complicated than a test page. When printing to the shared printer with a non-specific Postscript driver, the output just vanishes (except the test page, which came out OK with the Lexmark, but not HP driver).
Does anyone know of a basic Postscript driver that will work with CUPS (the Mac printing system?) Or better yet, have a link to a 1320 Postscript driver? I'm pretty sure the PCL driver won't work with CUPS...
I'm using the Bonjour printing software from Apple to find and setup the printer.
