Also note that unless you've upgraded the hard disk, that machine ships with a 4200 RPM hard drive. It *will* be painfully slow when there is disk I/O, especially booting and building/maintaining the superfetch cache. Upgrading the RAM wouldn't be the only thing I'd suggest upgrading, and at that point it might make more sense to buy a small notebook (not a netbook, but a subnotebook) if that small, low-power form factor is important. It will end up costing almost the same amount of money, and the machine won't be 5-6 years old either. It's up to you, but my suggestion (on the HDD speed alone) would be "don't do it".
