no cd-driver

Hi i have recently formatted my laptop(Aspire-4736). It contained windows vista before and i installed windows seven now........ I installed it through inbuilt DVD drive. BUT now after windows-7 is installed, i do not find CD/DVD drive on "MY COMPUTER".. I an unable to install other drivers too due to this problem........ PLEASE help me..
How can a dvd drive through which the O/S was installed be invisible after the installation is complete

Wild guess - it could be a filter problem. Here is the fix: Your CD drive or DVD drive is missing or is not recognized by Windows or other programs
