    Intel® PRO/Wireless 2200BG - looking for a driver

    Hello,
I have bought an older notebook - HP Compaq nx6110 with PCMCIA WiFi card and want to replace it with Intel® PRO/Wireless 2200BG card. I have installed Windows 7 on it and put the Intel card into miniPCI slot, the problem is no driver works for me. I would be happy, if you could help me, really do not know, what to do with that...
    Thx

Hi and Welcome to the Forums. Are you using 32bit os or 64bit?
If you are using a 32bit Windows 7 OS, try this driver.

Thx for your answers, I am using 32bit Windows, have just tried the driver suggested by Dinesh (cannot understand I had not found it before )... Now Device manager says that Intel(R) PRO/Wireless 2200 BG Network Connection is installed (in Network adapters), but still there are IEEE 1394 Controller and PCI modem in Other devices, marked by yellow exclamation marked and WiFi does not work.

    edit:
I was playing with BIOS a bit and finally WiFi is working for me (those two yellow exclamation marks are still there, but that does not matter). Thanks a lot.

I have the same card and I installed the driver suggested by Dinesh. Now the card is listed in device manager, but it does not work.
    Device status says:
"This device is not working properly because Windows cannot load the drivers required for this device. (Code 31)".
    Can you help me?
    Thanks.

Did you try to go to BIOS? You have to have the wifi card allowed there.
    My order of installation was...
    1) a card plugged in a slot, old not working drivers installed
    2) uninstalling previous drivers
    3) installing the driver suggested by Dinesh
    4) reboot
    5) wifi working

My Intel wifi card must have got broken during Win 7 installation, as now it doesn't work any more even under Vista and Gentoo.

    Thanks anyway.
