    Help, My Computer needs a Ethernet Driver


    Hey guys im using a emachines t2698 and i recently installed the rtm, and i cant conenct to the internet becasue i need a driver please help...i also releized that the drivers are not supported in the rtm since thats the OEM's good.

    You obviously have another computer or you couldn't email. Have you gone to acer for the wifi card driver?

    no i have like 4 computers , my acer runs like champ but m other 2 did not run so well, and i installed the driver it , worked , but now i need one for my emachines.

    wont the chipset driver be able to install the driver for onboard devices like the LAN?

    tried it didnt work. i used xp sp3 to install it compatibilit.

    OK and e-machine's driver for either vista or win 7 have you tried those?

    reading the instructions, it self extracts, rahter than running setup.exe in the folder created, use device manager, go to properties of the LAN, update driver, and browse for the driver yourself.

    try that.

    should be something like: C:\Users\Jasjeet\Desktop\Extracted Chipset drivers\Ethernet\WinXP

    there is not lan in the device manager to update .
