| Windows 7 professional x64 SP1 1 posts | "The system cannot find the file specified" Driver install I recently purchased a wireless adapter for xbox 360. its not a genuine microsoft product. i have tried everything to install the driver but everytime it says "Windows found driver software for your device but encountered an error while trying to install it xbox360 wireless reciever for windows The system cannot find the file specified" does windows simply not allow unsigned drivers at all anymore? i have tried installing in test mode, but still no joy. Can anybody please help. |

| Windows 7 x64 6,737 posts Houston | If the problem is actually that the driver is just unsigned there's plenty of work-arounds, here's the top result off google. How to Install & use unsigned drivers in Windows Vista/7 x64 - TechSpot OpenBoards It sounds more to me like the driver itself may have a problem communicating with windows though. Is there any place for you to check if they have an updated device driver for it? |
