[SOLVED]Lowered resolution after driver update[SOLVED]

Hello!
I have got a serious problem with my Windows 7 Ultimate screen resolution. About an hour ago I tried to install a new driver via Uniblue DriverScanner 2011, but it failed, and the result was the low screen resolution (from 1920x1080 to 1280x1024). My graphic card is NVIDIA GeForce 9400.
Please help me!
Thanks in advance

Welcome to the forum,

You can roll back to your previous driver,

Device Manager - Roll Back Driver - Vista Forums

The best place to get drivers is the manufacturer download page,

NVIDIA Driver Downloads - Advanced Search

As already mentioned, driver update software is not always accurate.

Welcome to Windows Seven Forums.

Windows Seven drivers do a good job, but if you do still want to update them it's best to go to the manufacturer's website.

Although a system restore has been suggested, a quicker way is to go into Device Manager, double-click your graphics adapter and click the Drivers tab, and then choose to roll back the driver to the previous version.

Third-party utilities are notorious for screwing things up and the old adage should always be..........."if it ain't broke, don't fix it".

You can also just go into the video card's settings and change the resolution back to the settings you had. I can't give you specific instructions since I've never used an Nvidia card but I'm sure someone here can should you need that info.

Good luck

WEI score lowered after Automatic Updates?
I bought a new laptop - ACER 5745G. After the initial Windows 7 64bit installation my scores were 6.6, 5.9, 5.9, 6.0 and only the Graphics for Areo a 4.9. Since I mostly want to use this laptop for watching HD videos, I figured those are scores aren't low and was satisfied. However, after...

Lowered GPU temps by 6 degrees!
Been looking for ways to lower overall case temps so I decided to see about lowering my video card's temps by replacing the stock thermo paste with Arctic Silver's MX-3. The result was a 6 degree temperature drop on the card! Went from idling around 67-67 to 61-62 idle. Cool. The first...

WEI Score lowered
Not sure if this is an issue or anything common, but my build prompted me to refresh the WEI saying new hardware detected. That isn't true, nor have I updated the drivers recently. Perhaps Windows Update did... So I run the WEI analysis and my graphics and gaming graphics show the same number...
