New Hard drive and recovered system. Now missing Drivers!

The story is my hard drive got messed up so I decided that since I had my files backed up I would just start all over. I bought a new hard drive and ordered the recovery disks from Toshiba and got my computer running again. I have a Toshiba Satellite L505-ES5018, Windows 7 Home 64 bit. My laptop is up but there are things missing like the sound, the screen is all big and blury, I can't access the Internet, and options like Sleep and Hibernate are not available.

I was told by Geek Squad that I'm missing drivers, so I went into the Properties of 'Computer' and clicked on 'manage' and then on 'Device Manager' and indeed saw that there were 5 drivers missing:

    1. Mobile Intel(R) 4 Series Express Chipset Family
    Version 8.15.10.1883
    Hardware Ids: PCI\VEN_8086&DEV_2A42&CC_030000
    2. Mobile Intel(R) 4 Series Express Chipset Family
    Hardware Ids: PCI\VEN_8086&DEV_2A43&CC_038000
    3. Realtek PCIe FE Family Controller Properties
    Version 7.5.730/2009
    Hardware Ids: PCI\VEN_10EC&DEV_8136&CC_020000
    4. Realtek RTL8191SE Wireless LAN 802.11n PCI-E NIC
    Version: 2006.2.826.2009
    Hardware Ids: PCI\VEN_10EC&DEV_8172&CC_0280000
    5. Realtek High Definition Audio
    Version 6.0.1.5904
    Hardware Ids:HDAUDIO\FUNC_01&VEN_10EC&DEV_0272&SUBSYS_1179FF10

I'm having issues finding the drivers, even at the manufacturers website. I've downloaded drivers but my computer won't recognize them as the ones I need for some reason...Please help!

It seems you are missing, a graphics driver, a sound driver, a network driver (Wi-Fi and LAN), and chipset drivers. Ok, install the following.

    Graphics driver: http://downloadcenter.intel.com/Deta...adType=Drivers

    Chipset driver: http://downloadcenter.intel.com/Deta...&DownloadType=

    Sound drivers: Realtek

    Network (Wi-Fi) drivers: Realtek

    Network (LAN) drivers: Realtek

None of those drivers seem to work... and no I didn't make a drivers disk. Every driver I download installs but my computer doesn't seem to need it or use it. I don't know what to do here

None? This is very strange... Try installing from Device Manager. Use this tutorial. Driver Install - Device Manager It explains how to install from the inf files of the drivers.

Toshiba drivers for your laptop here: Satellite L505-ES5018 – Windows 7 32 and 64-bit Drivers Download

Create a separate downloads folder and save the downloaded drivers for future use should you need them again.

Once you done that, just right-click each driver for your system and choose Run as Administrator and they should install just fine. You may need to disable any anti-virus software first.

Don't forget, because they're supplied by Toshiba, they'll be OEM drivers, which may explain why you were having problems with the hardware manufacturers' drivers, which are like to be configured differently to the OEM drivers.
