Intel Matrix Storage Manager Hi,
I'm on the latest build 7600 (Supposodely RTM, and have installed it as Windows 7 Ultimate), however i need the Intel Matrix Storage Manager so that i can install the AHCI controller so i can access my other drives. However when i launch the setup it says
"The computer does not meet the minimum requirements for installing the software.
Setup will now exit."
I assume this is because of the version being different to that of the RC, and it doesnt recognise it as a viable operating system to install the drivers on.
My system spec is fine, Q6600, 8gb ram, nvidia gtx260.
I was just wondering if anyone knows a way in cmdline to get past the installshield requirements, or a way to install the drivers? I have access to the iaAHCI.inf and iaAHCI.cat, however when i right click onn the iaAHCI.inf and press install it fails.
I know there are other ways to install it but i just dont remember them.
Any thoughts greatly appreciated as i really need the backups i have on the other drives!
Thanks,
Matt | My System Specs |

Have you tried the newest Intel Matrix Manager? Else right click on the controller in the device manager and select update driver and point to the inf file. | My System Specs | | Computer type PC/Desktop System Manufacturer/Model Number Custom Built OS Windows 7 Ultimate x64 SP1, Windows 8 Pro x64 CPU INTEL Core i7 3820 LGA 2011 Motherboard Gigabyte GA X79 UD5 v1.0 F13s Memory 16 GB (4 X 4GB) G-Skill Ripjaws Z DDR3 2133 Quad Channel Graphics Card EVGA GTX 460 SC 1GB Sound Card Realtek Onboard ALC898 Monitor(s) Displays Samsung BX2431 Screen Resolution 1920x1080 Keyboard Logitech G15 Mouse Microsoft Wireless Explorer Mouse PSU Corsair HX1000W Case Thermaltake Armor+ Cooling INTEL BXRTS2011LC Liquid-cooled Hard Drives OCZ Vertex 4 120GB 2.5 in. Matt This is strange. I encountered this same thing installing Windows 7229 on my SSD. I just tried again and it worked fine and I forgot about it. My disk came with my mobo and it's new so it may be a bug in the software. Just so you know.....others are seeing this. Matt I have never gotten the right-click install to work on Win 7 the few times I tried - I usually get some "Can't install this driver that way" message.
Have you tried running the installer in compatibility mode? Although the latest 8.9 has Win 7 support. I use RAID so haven't used AHCI. | My System Specs | | System Manufacturer/Model Number Custom workstation /// Lenovo X61t tablet notebook OS Windows 7 RTM x64 CPU Core i7 980X @ 4.04GHz OC /// Core Duo L7500 @ 1.6GHz Motherboard Asus P6T6 WS Revolution /// Memory 12GB G.
