    WG121 Netgear 64bit driver Needed

    hi
i have a WG121 Netgear Wireless Adapter 54Mbps, the driver for it works flawlessly on Windows 7 32 Bit, however i am very keen to try out the 64 bit, but when i installed it, the adapter did not work, i was wondering if any of you people know a driver i can use for it on 64 bit. it would be much appreciated as my newly upgraded computer is wasted on a 32 bit operating system.

    thanks
this is a great forum and i appreciate quick responses

    wg 121 adapter isn't recognized

In your thread, you stated that the netgear wg121 adapter worked flawlessly with windows 7. I downloaded the latest driver on a separate computer and transfered the zipped files via a mempry stick to the new Windows 7 computer and installed the driver. When I attach the hardware, Windows 7 doesn't recognize it as a wg121 nad no matter how I try to reinstall/repair, it still doesn't work. I also visited the Nertgear site were they address compatibity issues with adapters and Windows 7. Netgear doesn't list the wg121 as having a Windows driver for Version 7. How did you get yours to work?

    wg121 working with Windows 7

I just installed Windows 7 and got my WG121 Netgear USB adapter working. I downloaded the drivers from Netgear. Here's what I did.

Went to WG121 Software V2.0 on NetGear's support site.
    Downloaded the wg121v200.zip file.
Created a System restore point (just to be safe)
Unzipped and ran the setup program.
Ignored all the warnings and finished the install.
After the install was done, I plugged in the adapter and it took a little while but it recognized it eventually.
Then followed the Windows 7 wireless setup process to connect to my router.

    Hope that helps.
    Z.

    I am using Windows 7 Ultimate 64x

I tried downloading that driver and installing it and then restarting my computer. Windows 7 still didn't recognise the device. It is still plugged in

It has been plugged in to my computer this whole time. I can see it in the device page but it says it is an unknown device and I can't do anything with it.

    Please help.
