Windows 7: I need to find hidusb.sys for HP touchsmart tm2t notebook pc.

Windows updated about a week ago and when doing so, deleted hidusb.sys out of my registry. Windows does not have a system restore point that is before the update point. Because of this problem, I cannot use any of the tablet settings. The pen and finger screen input devices to not work now. How can I find and put the file back into system32?

Hi evancm57, welcome to the forums, You should be able to extract the file off the Windows 7 installation disc , As to why win update would delete the file I do not know seems very strange

Thank you for the response. The problem I have with this is that the hp tm2t does not have a floppy disk drive. Is there another way I can extract the file using a different method?

Any other ideas would be greatly appreciated also.
