Windows 7 printer drivers issue on windows 2003 domain.

Hi all,

Our domain is in 2003 mode and all of our clients are running windows 7 Pro. ed. Every time we update a driver on the spooler (server) all the clients start asking for driver updates for every printer (even from different brands). They ask for elevated credentials in order to perform the update. We know there is a way to disable the "point and print restriction" on windows 2008 to stop the uac from asking credentials, but the thing that annoys us the most is the printer driver update from different brands.

Any tip will be appreciated...

Thanks a lot.
