Ati Radeon X1250 Based Graphics and Windows 7 drivers

I need to know if anyone knows where to get a window 7 driver for an ATI Radeon X1250 intragrated graphics card? I can not change my screen resolution to be able to load the games that we often play.

This system just crashed 5 days ago and it has taken many days to get it back up and running.... Im about to restore Windows XP. My computer is a custom built so if you would need some of the specs here is what I know:

    Asus M2A-VM Bios version 2.01
    AMD Athlon(tm) 64 Processor 3000+ 1.80 Ghz
    ATI Radeon X1250 Intragrated graphics
    2.75 Gb Ram
Windows 7 32bit Home premium with service pack 1

I have downloaded the catalyst from AMD several times none of them seem to even really want to install and do nothing as far as I can see.

Any help would be greaty appreciated!

Sorry, don't have an actual link ... but if you go to the AMD drivers site and look around, you should see a link there for "legacy" drivers, or something like that. The current 11.x driver will not work with the X-series cards, as far as I know, but I believe that v10.2 will work. If it doesn't, try one of the 9.x versions.

Whatever you download, make sure it has "legacy" in the filename.

And if it's one of the 9.x versions, I believe that you will have to use XP-compatibility mode with it.

Sorry, but it's been quite a while since I used an x-series ATI card and I'm a little rusty on the details.

Perhaps someone else still using an x-series card can provide more info ...

Tanara: That is the same driver I used before with my ATI x1650 card.
