Gigabyte ga-z68ma-d2h-b3 audio jacks not working.

The audio jacks that came with the motherboard don't work. I've tried different speakers, restarted my computer etc. It doesn't appear under playback devices. It doesn't seem to appear under device manager either.

Here are some screenshots to illustrate my point:

Hi shokwaav

Did you make the connection between your soundcard and your graphics card with a SPDIF cable?

sorry my bad, i looked at the second picture and saw HDMI audio and may have jumped to the wrong conclusion
but now i look at it again....is it not that the HDAudio is disabled in Bios? or did the wrong drivers get installed to the (onboard) sound-card.....
can you tell us some specs for your PC to help us assist you better

Quote:
  1. Realtek ALC889 codec
  2. High Definition Audio
  3. 2/4/5.1/7.1-channel
    * To configure 7.1-channel audio, you have to use an HD front panel audio module and enable the multi-channel audio feature through the audio driver.
  4. Support for S/PDIF Out

Ok 1st id like you to try this driver http://download.gigabyte.eu/FileList...tek_azalia.exe
Restart and see if Realtek high definition audio (speaker symbol) now shows in the list, also you can right click to show hidden and disabled devices
