Windows 7: PCI Device driver not found

Ok so I just reformatted my Windows but the first thing I noticed wrong with it was the video quality it was pixelated and blurry so I looked through my device manager and the I saw the PCI device is not installed. Can somebody help me? I already went to the manufacturer's site which is Realtek

This is a laptop, correct?

Look on the bottom of the laptop and post the entire Model number. "HP 1668" only brings up a deskjet printer.

Please clarify: "I just reformatted my Windows" . Does that mean that you just installed Windows 7 clean? If so, what was the operating system originally?

It's a laptop. I installed Windows 7 ultimate it was originally Windows 7 home basic

You will need to go here:
HP Pavilion g6-1000 Notebook PC series*-* Download drivers and software - HP Business Support Center
and download and install the drivers you need for your laptop model.

The Realtek device you mention will either be the LAN driver or the Card Reader Driver.

As for the video issue I would suggest trying the video drivers offered for your laptop from HP. Be sure to completely uninstall any old driver you installed before installing the HP ones.

The AMD graphics driver package on that website contains both drivers for switchable graphics (Intel and AMD) if your laptop has a dedicated graphics chip in it. If you installed a graphics driver from AMD directly it may not have a driver for the Intel graphics on your processor and that may explain your symptoms.

I actually went to that site already and downloaded the AMD graphics but I'm still having the same issues but I did not care to download the LAN and Card Reader Driver so that's what I'm gonna do now.

So what was the result of installing the LAN and Card Reader Drivers?

It solved my PCI problem but I'm still having the same display problems after installing the intel graphics driver

We are hoping this is not a problem with a defective graphics chip because on a laptop that is a big problem.

The way you install the graphics drivers is important.

The AMD graphics driver package on that HP website contains both the Intel and AMD drivers in one package. You only need to install that one package. These drivers are configured specifically for your laptop to use the switchable graphics feature. You do not need to install the 2 drivers separately, and that may be the cause of your issue.

Before you install new drivers it is important to uninstall the current drivers. Post back if you need more on this procedure.
