    Can any body help please! - No Display


    Hi I have just installed Windows 7 RTM and I cannot get any sort of display what so ever - The only way I can get a picture in in safe mode - My graphics card is a ATI Raedon X550 -

    I have tried using Driver max to see if my driver is out dated but the report I got say`s it`s the latest - I have also tried the ATI website and there latest drivers but I get the error `failed to load driver detection` , At the moment im in safe mode! Please can any one help

    Hi mike

    So whats the status? I would go to ati and grab the correct friver for your vid card. then boot into safe mode and intstall it, and reboot. Might help if we knew your system specs.

    Ken thanks for the help - I am still having the same problem ATI`s graphics driver for 7 or Vista will simply not install I get the error `failed to load detection driver` Again im in safe mode would that have anything todo with trying to load the driver? Thank you for the help . Mike

    Mike could you tell me abt your system, OS (32 or 64) monitor, etc. You using hdmi, or std cable?

    are all the devices on your motherboard installed ??

    FILL OUT YOUR SYSTEM SPECS IF YOU EXPECT ANY REASONABLE HELP!!!!

    Ken im using a 32 bit OS - The graphics card is a ATI Radeon X550 256mb - via VGA , @ ickymay - Thank also for the help - With regards to the devices on my mother board I guess they are installed as device manager says theres no conflict - really appreciate the help guys . Mike

    Since your display works in safe mode, your monitor and cable are ok. It has to be a driver problem. what rev is the driver?
