Windows 7: HP Pavilion a6030n PC windows 7 drivers

i recently upgraded my desktop pc from windows xp to windows 7, but now i cant play some games, example, i try to play minecraft and it tells me that it cant find accelerated OpenGL mode. that i should update my video card drivers but i cant seem to find any. can someone please give a link to drivers or something please.

yes but i couldnt find any links, it only showed how to install windows

HP won't have chipset drivers for it for Windows 7 because Nvidia never made any. The best you're going to get is either whatever Windows uses by default or try the last Vista driver for it (don't let the Windows 7 in the file name throw you, it is still the same last Vista driver they released),

NVIDIA DRIVERS 15.49 WHQL

Just do a custom install and do not install the included video driver, or the "Network Management Tools " if in the list.

Assuming you are using the onboard video (6150 SE), that you can use the latest Nvidia driver for,

NVIDIA DRIVERS 280.26 WHQL

as Nvidia lists it as being supported.

I agree with Pebbly in that Vista drivers should work with Windows 7 and it explains why you couldn't find any Windows 7 drivers for your laptop.

The only way you're going to find out is download the Vista drivers via the link that Pebbly gave you and install them.

Desktop seavixen. And no need for Vista drivers for the onboard video as it is still supported in Nvidia's latest driver. The chipset itself on the other hand will have to use the Vista drivers if the default Windows 7 drivers aren't enough, or any of the bits in it are missing.

okay i guess im going to be installing the vista drivers... hopefully they work or else ill have to go back to xp or vista

well i downloaded the vista drivers and everything seems to be working, once again thank you to everyone who helped me with this problem, this forums seem to be really good, there is always goog people helping
