Windows 7 - Arcosft webcam companion3 driver?

HP Webcam in HP Mini net book stopped working in a few weeks ago.
I got this netbook in December.
so
I called HP tech support, they told me a lot; open IE, HP camera, device manager, recovery manager, cyberlink, and etc.

and
uninstall webcam and reinstall it,
but that did not fix problems.

so,
they told me to back up files and pictures, and restore this netbook to factory condition.

I did not back up softwares like CCleaners and Anti Malware Bytes because i can reinstall them from websites.

Webcam is now working.
that was a long process.
They said that this netbook had wrong driver.

Do you know what happened to this webcam? It was working weeks ago.
