BSOD nvlddmkm.sys 32bit Windows need help nVidia

I have tried all the methods online for the last 8 hours straight, I've gone and found my dell cd with the nVidia drivers which I will attempt to reinstall. Replacing it with the expanded file doesn't work, nor does reinstall work. Someone please help.

I found 3 different drivers from the disk, and since the autorun failed with an automation error, I copied the 3 drivers out and attempt to install them one by one until something works, or not.

Some extra info: It happened right after I had a freeze problem and then I Held the on/off button, when it was back on...instant BSOD..and now some fking annoying overheating.

I need help. I beg of you!!! And the logs show that that driver has been causing the problem

We need more information.

System specs (especially the graphics card) will help.

Which driver versions are you trying to install and how are you trying to install them?

You really want to start with a clean slate so you need to uninstall any graphics drivers in Uninstall Programs, and then uninstall your graphics card in Device Manager.

When you've done that, restart Windows then install the latest NVIDIA driver.

I also cannot install the lastest driver because even though nvidia has it, it says no supported hardware, only the ones from dell works. This is getting on my nerves. Why would they do that?!!

How could I possibly know of that report when you didn't link to it at the start of the thread?

It would seem then that you would need to remove your Dell OEM graphics card and install a retail version of the same card if you want to use NVDIA's latest graphics drivers, which I believe is version 285.32.

As it would appear you are being restricted to Dell's own drivers you'll need to see what you can find out on Dell's support site.

Sorry for not posting it. I only found out more about it earlier. Did the logs say anything?

Dell support site is amazingly useless. I have tried uninstalling and reinsstalling the drivers but to no avail. I mean fully uninstall with driver cleaners and such. I have sent about 4 emaisl to dell, each with NO reply.

When upgrading your graphic driver you MUST remove all traces of the current driver. In order to do that we recommend using

Phyxion.net - Driver Sweeper

When it is removed then download and install the fresh copy.

I have used that. But dell DOES NOT let me use the latest nvidia drivers because it is OEM, now I have hit another problem, it doesn't install properly for some reason... i'll post the error message when I next try and reintall it

Go into Uninstall a program and uninstall any references to a video driver.

Next, go into Device Manager, expand Display Adapters and double-click your graphics adapter.

Click the Driver tab then click Uninstall.

When it completes reboot your computer and install the Dell driver.
