Saitek Elipse III Keyboard keys not working

    Hi there,

I just bought a new Saitek Eclipse III keyboard. There is no software to install or anything and runs of windows defaults.

However, none of the normal alphabet keys or number keys work on windows 7. Although the multi-media keys do work on the keyboard.

Yet, the keyboard work perfectly on my windows XP pc.

Any ideas how this can solved or is it a case of cancelling my windows 7 pre-order?

    Thanks

I'll let you know, I have one on order. Did you check their website for software/drivers?

    Problem Solved

I've managed to resolve the problem by re-installing Windows 7.

I think the problem was caused by using a lot on none Vista and XP software in compatiability mode.

I don't think anyone should have this problem unless some of there games or third party software cause problems.

    Cheers

Old bump, but still applies -- there has to be another way than to reinstall windows 7.. anyone know exactly what's wrong? My top keys aren't working either, even after installing the software. Windows 7 32-bit

Having the same issue tho it use to work fine.

On win7 U64 its installing the saitech eclipse 3 drivers and I can not figure out what devices to remove and what to replace with hid device via update driver.

Heres the kicker on my win7 home 64 bit. Its working fine and installs 2 less hid devices.

I am still plugging away at it, is there a way for me to remove specific drivers? Mabye if I did that it would get hung up.
