    HDMI-attached monitor not powering-down. What's up?

Gang, I've noticed this anomaly now on two of my Win7 rigs, one each Ultimate and Home Premium; Monitors that attach via HDMI are not getting the 'power off' message from the OS. The same monitors hooked up by other means [dvi, vga] do power off just as they should per the power plan settings.

is this a known bug? anyone know of a fix?

    thx

Not that I'm aware of. have you checked your device manager to see if it is reporting your monitors as what they are? If it's not, you might want to see if their is a driver for them (.inf file) download and install it.

there is no .inf for the asus. dunno about the sony bravia and samsung tv.
and yes, catalyst reports the devices spot-on.

i'll do some more googling and see what I get
