Asus Computer/Windows 7; won't recognize internal DVD
I have an desktop Asus with windows 7 Home premium. System has been working fine untill this morning. the CD does not display when I slect (My Computer). Also tried to bring up a dvd and nothing happens. Worked with Asus support. On the device manager the device shows location but has the Yellow error message. On trouble shooting I get ( HL-DT-ST DVDRAM GH40N ATA Device has driver problem). I tried fix it but it says no fix. We checked bios it shows there. Down loaded driver software no change. In device manager I slected unit, selected uninstalled. Restarted computer it recognized CD-Rom loaded software successvely. But still not showing. Asus support thought maybe something is not working right with windows 7.
Hope someone can help
Thanks
