    Hola, Maleta. Bienvenido a SevenForums.

    Here's how:

    • Start Menu > Devices and Printers > Add a Printer > HP > HP Deskjet 3740 Series (LiDiL) Version 6.1.XXXX
    • Click two times Next

HP Printer drivers have known issues with Windows 7. That's why it is better to use drivers provided by MS / Windows 7. That is why I always recommend first to use Windows 7 built-in printer installation utility than install drivers from HP.

I don't know. I am kind of a HP specialist (in a very small scale) because of my work. I've discussed this topic with HP, even they prefer to install Photosmart / DeskJet / LaserJet drivers for Windows 7 from Add Printer / MS / Windows 7 drivers, when possible. The situation is going to change, but HP's Windows 7 drivers are most probably not published before early November.

    Thanks for rep!

I forgot to mention it to you, Maleta, that your HP Deskjet 3745 is no longer in production, and HP is not going to publish Windows 7 drivers for this model. But no worries, driver I told you earlier should work.

    Deskjet 3745 Windows 7 Problem

My Printer ( 3745 ) was Detected by 7 and installed correctly.
However my problem is setting it as the default printer.
It is the only printer atached to this pc.
In Printers it shows about Four, the other 3 are just Ms Office printers.
I can select any of those as the default printer, but not the 3745.
I even deleted the other 3 which left the 3745.
You can highlight it but ( set as default ) is greyed out.
    As a result I can't print anything.
Before I deleted the office printers, when I went to print something it would go to the default printer, which of course is useless.
    Can someone help with this.
