Did Windows Install a Driver on Setup?

Theres this driver from a usb I don't want installed on my pc

The usb was plugged into my usb port when i turned it on, it flashed a few times while it was on the windows is setting up stage but I quickly pulled it out

Is it possible for windows to download drivers before it makes it to the desktop screen because the usb i have, before my windows auto downloaded a driver for it and it's a driver that messes everything up

just want to know if it's possible that windows can update drivers before the computer is fully on on the desktop screen

If you don't want it, just uninstall it in Device Manager.

If you look into the device properties in Device Manager, under the Driver button it tells you the version. And under the Details button there is some more info.

Not sure what the problem is here, and yes Windows can istall the driver for the USB key before getting to the full desktop. And no it didn't download anythng as the driver is already present in Windows, it just updated itself for the particular USB key that was present at the time.

Windows will also "install" the driver for every different USB key you plug in. It will also get installed for the exact same USB key if you plug it into a different USB port.
