sony vaio drivers problems after format

hallo everyone. Recently,I formatted my sony vaio VGN-FW51MF and now i have windows 7 professional, downloaded from msdn. since then i face several problems and I wonder what went wrong. So, to start with:

Everytime i run internet explorer, an error message saying that iexplorerencountered valid error appears and gives me the option to ignore once, always or do not ignore. if i choose not to ignore, the problem is not solved.
Kind of the same message, saying "HD audio control panel encountered a validation error" appears usually, as well.
In addition, when i try to download utorrent, i get a message saying that "utorrent has crashed. unable to generate crash dump", and the download stops.
I wonder if i ve done sth wrong with the drivers i installed, since i m not pretty sure what i need to install.
Thank you in advance
P.S. : i am a newbie so please use as simple language as possible..

daffgr, welcome to the Seven Forums.

Did you remember to install all necessary drivers, or is it just running on whatever drivers Windows installed for it? If you didn't install any drivers go here,

Sony : VAIO VGN-FW51MF/H drivers | Download drivers and updates for VGN-FW51MF/H

to get them. Sony has the full range of Windows 64 bit drivers. In order of importance the ones you need are,

chipset
graphics
ethernet
audio (bottom of the list, only need the HDMI driver if using that connection)

yes. this is where i downloaded the rest of the drivers, and i will try to download again what you suggested. Is there any possibility i installed sth from that link and i created a conflict? another problem i have is that i get a blue screen very easily. before i formatted my pc, i hadnt had a blue screen ever and now i count about 3 or 4 Blue screens in a few days. i am desperate.

how do i install the ethernet driver? there is no setup icon in the folder i downloaded.

i face kind of the same message saying that "the WINDOWS EXPLORER encountered a vaidation error" appears every time i try to open the control panel.it seems like i have downloaded all the drivers just fine. Is there any possibility the ISO downloaded from MSDN having some problems?

From having a quick look around,

WINDOWS EXPLORER encountered a vaidation error - Google Search

it is certainly possible that there is something wrong with the download, or that it got corrupted some how after downloading.

Hello daffgr, may I ask for some additional information to help sort out your problem?

1. Click Start Menu

4. Click on Windows Logs in the left pane and expand it hitting the + or arrow next to the folder.
5. Right Click Application and click Save All Events As...
6. Name as eventApp and select from the Save as type: Text(tab delimited)(*.txt) and click save
7. Right Click System and click Save All Events As...
8. Name as eventSys and select from the Save as type: Text(tab delimited)(*.txt) and click save
9. Attach both .txt files to your next reply by clicking the paperclip icon in the above border of your message.

Thank you for following the above steps. Now we can take a look at possible root causes to your issues.

Recommend uninstalling and then installing IE9 How do I install or uninstall Internet Explorer 9? Note: You may want to download the installation file for IE9 before uninstalling it so you have a way to install it again (since you may not have a working browser to download it afterward). Save the IE9 installer to a safe place you will remember for installing after you uninstall the program.

Also, run SFC /SCANNOW Command - System File Checker as it seems you may have some corrupted system files, though it may also just be that IE9 is interfacing with the system files incorrectly and the above step of re-installing IE9 will fix the issues.
