Driver HP Laser Jet 1018 printer

HP does not offer a Laser Jet 1018 the driver for Window 7. Does anyone know how to get a driver that will be compatible with 7?

Here is how you can install optional MS / Windows 7 drivers for your printer:

Start Menu > Devices and Printers > Add a Printer > HP > HP model
Click two times Next
Your printer shoul now be installed.

Hope it helps!

You can try what I've suggested in the thread below. I imagine it will work.

Installing and sharing an HP Laserjet 1020 on Win7 x64

The Vista driver will work with this - however, it doesn't install easily! Run the installer, and when it freezes towards the end of the process, kill it through Taskmanager. after a couple of goes Windows 7 will then offer to reinstall using the proper settings. Allow this and the driver will install.

However, I can't get the printer to work when it's shared out. It's fine as local only printer, though. Hopefully Windows 7 final version will include a driver for this printer!

According to the HP web site, a Windows 7 driver will be available mid November.
