How to Remove Drivers

How do I remove drivers left over from an uninstalled programme?

Even with the UAC off (fully down) I cannot delete them.

Hello Cheemag,

Install Revo uninstaller, as recommended by some experienced members here, and have it clean up for you: Download Revo Uninstaller Freeware - Free and Full Download - Uninstall software, remove programs, solve uninstall problems

Another good program to use is Phyxion.net - Driver Sweeper click Downloads in the top menu.

Thank you both. I've downloaded both programmes. Try them later.

Neither are any good - they aren't designed to remove drivers for applications which have already been uninstalled.

You may try re-installing the program and then using them to remove same, worst case scenario you wind back up in the same situation.

Not possible. I sent the TV card and CD back to Amazon as it wouldn't run on 7/64-bit.

I'll have a look to see if they're being loaded. Shouldn't be.

Have you tried a system restore to a point before you uninstalled the troublesome software?

You could then use Revo or whichever uninstaller you prefer to uninstall the program.

I would just live with them as they likely can't harm anything, or if they are creating an issue then back up all data and do a clean install of windows and all other software. This will cure the situation but likely kills the better part of a day or possibly two.
