    rocketfish rf-hdweb10 driver needed

first post here so here goes

I purchased a Rocketfish rf-hdweb10 and found there are no 64 bit drivers on the disk or available for download from their site.

does anyone here know where to get a driver that will work with windows 7 64 bit?

or am I better off returning the camera?

There are 64 bit driver files in the driver file on their web site > http://www.rocketfishproducts.com/cm...RF-HDWEB10.zip D/L right click on the setup.exe file and select run as administrator from the list.

I tried that only after trying to install that did the rocketfish techs tell me that rocketfish only has 32mb drivers that I need a generic hd webcam 64bit driver to get it to work.

If you don't mind me saying, the "techs" at Rocketfish are morons. Then again Rocketfish is nothing more than a Best Buy house brand, which makes their "techs" no better than the half trained monkeys at the Geek Squad (no offense to any half trained monkeys out there).

That said the driver download from Rocketfish does in fact contain both the 32 bit AND 64 bit drivers for that webcam (yes I downloaded it and looked), which by the way is nothing more than a renamed Creative webcam. Not sure which model, but that is also who write the drivers for it.

After unzipping the download make sure to do as Wrench97 suggested above about running as administrator on the setup.exe found in the first folder after extracting.

I've done that the problem comes in when it tries to detect the camera. It can't find it because windows doesn't recognize the "device" and so shuts it off with a code 43

unplugging the camera and plugging it back in does nothing for the install either

    Try installing it manually,

    Driver Install - Device Manager

point it at the Drivers folder when you get to the "browse" window.

Have you tried the camera on a 32bit system?
I may also be a defective camera especially if the manual install doesn't work.

the 32bit system I have does not meat the camera minimum required specs so yes and no

yes I tried no it didn't work I'm assuming its the spec issue as the driver crashes at about 25% complete on that one
