It wasn't so much of a solution as it was just me stopping being an idiot! When I transferred the drivers to my laptop I tried to just update them in the device manager after I did that, I thought windows would find them in my PC. I didn't realise there was a setup application you could run within the driver folders.
But now I have another problem. I'm stuck on Basic/Starter windows theme, and it looks horrible. Apparently if you run a Windows Experience Index it will give you Aero, but mine keeps failing at the end. It says "Assesment Complete" and then
this error comes up. There are no warning signs in my device manager and my GPU drivers are definitely up to date. Is there anyway to fix this or is there a way to download areo?
Also when doing a Windows 7 Upgrade Advisor scan it gave me this message.
I downloaded the latest drivers from Nvidia's website, so why doesn't it support Aero? I currently have an Nvidia GT520M in my laptop.
