Drivers Disappear

I have no clue, but what causes a driver to all of sudden disappear? I didn't uninstall anything, didn't have any power surgers, or nothing, but I noticed that my quickset driver just left and I had to re-install it. So what gives?

Was it completely removed, or was it just not showing up in your system tray?

When I reinstall Windows 7 there where two files. The basic one and then the update. When I noticed this, I re-installed the basic and it said "there is a newer version already installed". Then I re-installed the update and everything is back to normal (I hope). I hope this answered the question.
