Swapping hard drive and driver problems

Hi,

A friend of mine just spilt water onto her laptop. In an attempt to salvage some of the important documents, I tried to stick the hard drive into my laptop. However, there seems to be driver issues since my hardware obviously differs from hers. My laptop is a Samsung while hers is an HP.

Two critical components that could not be installed are the usb and network card drivers. Due to this, I have no idea how to work my way around to recovering the files; I can't seem to transfer the files via usb or Internet. Is there any ways that I can circumvent this?

Thank you!
