    Anyone else had a BAD_COOL_CALLER w/ a Gateway laptop?

From what I can tell its a modem related error, but i physically removed the delphi d40 modem and reformatted, only to occasionally still have the same error (just not as often)

now it only happens while running utorrent.

last time i had this error i made an attempt to DL current drivers for everything w/ driver genius pro. once i installed the program and ran it w/ all the new drivers it worked flawlessly for about a week (no BSOD crashes) but then suddenly they started occurring every hour while operating utorrent and certain websites.

im not at that PC right now but ill be sure to post the exact error message along with the model number of the laptop to see if anyone else is experiencing this.

any ideas in the mean time?

im assuming its due to gateway not rushing to add windows 7 support to certain pieces of hardware, allowing pretty much everything i have right now to be work flawlessly only w/ vista.

Its probably utorrent. go into event viewer (type event viewer in search) and see if there are any errors in the app tab relating to the problem

none really, like i said, it happens while not only using utorrent, but also when navigating certain web pages.

it almost seems to be related to when the PC changes it DL speed too quickly (for example if i hit "start" on several downloads at once, or clicked on a web page with a lot of content that has to load... then itll crash)

    make any sense?

I will assume that you mean BAD_POOL_CALLER.

Several causes. The easiest to fix: turn off your page file. Boot. Recreate your page file. Test.

So do I. Otherwise, we need to examine chipsets, drivers, and RAM.

Much fun for ZigZag and I, not so much fun for you

ok ive only had 1 BSOD since i changed it up, once again, while using utorrent.

i can sit and watch when it happens, its when i have like 5 DL's going, and maybe 2 finish at the same time and so 2 more from my queue start... right then is when it crashes... something with connections maybe?

i realize its not the program that has this ability to crash, and its hardware related most likely (driver)

    hmmm... weird
