All Programs Not Responding Blue Screen Of Death Disk Read Error?!

I was using a program called NoLimits and Google Chrome on my Windows 7 computer. After about 30 minutes or so, all the programs was not responding.

After about 5 minutes or so, the screen shook and lines were on it. After that, I got the Blue Screen Of Death.

I restarted the computer. After the dell logo and below your computer type (Inspiron, Inspiron One etc), (before you see the Windows Error Recovery screen) I got an error message that said "A disk read error occurred. Press Ctrl+Alt+Del to reRECOVERY."

When I press Ctrl, Alt and Delete, The computer restarts and I get the same error message. Then, I have to shut down the computer and leave it off for at least an hour.

After an hour, I turned on the computer and I did not get the error message. After I logged in, I scanned for viruses, spyware and malware with the latest versions of all my antivirus programs and no was found. I tried everything I could do and none of them worked. I am posting this thread on my iMac computer with Mac OS X Snow Leopard 10.6.7. Can anyone help me? Thanks! :)

I have an iPod Touch and need to sync it. I can't sync it on my iMac computer because the computer is brand new and I can't access the iTunes store.

I also need to finish some NoLimits track files, Microsoft PowerPoint presentations, Microsoft Excel spreadsheets, Microsoft Word documents etc. I can't use Keynote, Numbers, Pages and NoLimits on my iMac computer because the computer is brand new and I need to register Keynote, Numbers, Pages and NoLimits.

I could try to download the files on my iMac computer. I have all my files on Google Documents. I will try to download the files to my iMac computer and find a way to register Keynote, Numbers and Pages. I will only download the finished NoLimits track files because I need to register NoLimits.

After that, I will convert Microsoft PowerPoint presentations Into Keynote presentations, Microsoft Excel spreadsheets into Numbers spreadsheets and Microsoft Word Documents into Pages Documents. If I have any problems, I will post the problems on MacRumors forums.

If I keep getting this error, I will finish the presentations, spreadsheets and documents on my iMac computer. I think the RECOVERY part is hiding the start part in restart because the error normally says "A disk read error occurred. Press Ctrl+Alt+Del to restart."

I know that this error shows up because of hard drive problems, but what caused my hard drive to stop working? That's why I am posting this thread. Is it just a virus trying to effect my Antivirus programs to not find it? Or do I need to uninstall a certain program? Thanks! :)

I just called Microsoft and told them that I am getting the "A disk read error occurred. Press Ctrl+Alt+Del to reRECOVERY" error message. They just took my Windows 7 computer in. Hopefully they can fix the problem and keep my programs installed. I don't need to worry about my files, all my files are on Google Documents. I am waiting for some suggestions of what caused my hard drive to stop working.

I just got my Windows 7 computer back today. Most of my files were restored on the computer. I can download the rest of my files on Google Documents. Too bad that my installed programs weren't restored, so I will need to re-install them. I will also need to transfer all my stuff on my iPod Touch to iTunes after I re-install all my programs. Hopefully I won't get this stupid error ever again. I am still waiting for some suggestions of what caused my hard drive to stop working.
