Random Latency Spikes P17.sys help please

Well, My computer seems top be having Random DPC Latency Spikes (It doesn't happen al the time but sometimes and It's really annoying when listening to music) according to LatencyMon the highest dpc latency spike was caused by P17.sys (my SB Audigy Card driver) I didn't had this problem before only after a reinstall of windows now ....

Is there anything I can do ???

the Audio card is a Sound Blaster Audigy 24 Bit Advanced HD (this is wat it says on the CD) I didn't install the drivers from the CD but from windows update (Like I did before) because the driver on the cd is from 2006 (Not compatible with Windows 7)

    Thanks in advance

Any chance you can pull the card and get the model number off of it? If so it should be along the top edge and look something like SBxxxx. Reason for asking is 'Sound Blaster Audigy 24 Bit Advanced HD" doesn't help much as there are two totally different types of Audigy (hardware based and software based), and both use totally different drivers.

The hardware based cards include the original Audigy as well as the Audigy 2 and 4. The software based cards include the Audigy SE/DE/LS/Value/2 SE/2 Value. Let's find out which yours is and then try the latest driver directly from Creative instead of what WU has to offer.
