    ati 4850

    Hi guys

I'm getting a new pc in a week or 2 and I have a question about the graphics card drivers. I want to install windows 7 x86 version, but which ati drivers should i install with it? When I looked at the ati driver page, there were no drivers for windows 7 x86 version.

Can anyone help me out pls?

New PC going to have at least 4 GB of ram? If so, why go 32 bit?

Don't, go 64-bit instead. If you got a Core 2 Duo or newer processor, you've got a 64-bit CPU, so install 64-bit windows. All the programs that comes with windows will be 64-bit, they will launch and run a little faster. 64-bit will also be able to use your full 4GB of ram or more. 32-bit will only use about 3.25GB. You should also notice a performance increase in games that are optimized for 64-bit.

    Thx for your replies guys.
Can you guys then maybe check if the parts below go together or if the memory/cpu for example is compatible with the motherboard, please? Because I'm really new to this :S, and don't know if the selected DDR2 or CPU is compatible with the motherboard.

I am probably getting these parts:
    AMD Phenom 64 X3 8650
    MB Gigabyte GA-MA770-UD3
    2x2048MB G.Skill DDR2 PC8000 1000Mhz CL5
    ASUS EAH4850

if you do decide to go down the 64bit road (lane?), just make sure you can get 64bit drivers for all your other hardware before you start installing!

you should be able to, but do check first...
