    Drivers on windows 7


    How can i get my ASUS motherboard drivers if there only appears to be for VISTA 64 bit and not for WINDOWS 7 64 bit ? im new in windows 7 and especially with the 64bit version of windows

    For the most part, the Vista drivers will work for you. I am only hedging on the chipset driver, which is, of course, crucial to the proper operation of the remaining drivers.

    Go here for the latest mainboard drivers - download from Guru3D.com
    You probably wont need to upgrade the chipset drivers as they are installed during installation of the OS, however, there are cases where you may need to with the latest boards.
    These drivers will be written for Vista etc, and you may get an OS mismatch when, and if, you install them - do the following if they wont install :
    To install a driver OR program in compatibility mode - right click the setup.exe file - click properties - click compatibility - check run in compatibility with vista/xp etc - check run as administrator - leave the rest blank. Start setup.exe and install.
    You can update your video driver card and get some purchase to the latest w7 drivers at the above site or go here
