Intel Graphic Driver won't install on Acer Aspire 1410

Hi guys, I have a serious problem. Right now I've made the impossible for the driver to work correctly but I can't.

I am trying to install the correct Graphic Driver for an Acer Aspire 1410 to no avail.

It is a Mobile Intel 4 Series Express Chipset Family. I've tried to install it:
    - Via the device manager
    - From a driver download directly from the Acer Website.
    - From Windows Update.

I have installed/uninstalled and I've ran out of ideas. Don't know what to do.

Each time I try to do something on device manager there's the yellow triangle with the display driver. Any suggestions?

    Thanks

Can you give some background info about the laptop, like: are you trying to upgrade the drivers, did you just do a clean install of Windows (which version - 7 starter, 7 ultimate, etc)?

What I'm trying to do is to do a temporary shift. My dad pc recently died, and I took his hard drive an poured it into the notebook so he does not stop his work (a format could have helped but he refused it -_-).

It currently has Windows 7 Home Premium

What computer did this come out of? Did it come out of the same make/model notebook or a different one? Moving a hard drive to a new computer, keeping the OS intact, may or may not work "out of the box" - as you've already discovered.

At the very least you should probably download whatever chipset drivers Acer provides. That should give Windows something to work with.

It came from an HP DV6t.

Yeah I know. It did work great at first with MY dell laptop. But I needed it back, so I sent the drive to a reserve laptop I have.

Try installing the chipset driver for the Acer, and hope for the best. I hope you made a backup of the data, just in case things go terribly wrong.

I already did as you said but nothing happened. Isn't there a way to swipe drivers effectively? There are sometimes Windows reinstalls the same drivers when I don't want to ...

    Ok! Found something.

When I right clicked its properties the following message appeared:

"If you want to use this device, you will need to disable one of the other devices on your system".

I'm pretty sure that other devices have been disabled, but regardless what should I do in this case?

    Did you try this

Did you try to uninstall the Chipset and graphics driver from Safe Mode? Also what type of system was the Dell hard drive out of?

Thanks thegibb678. I'll try doing that later. The Hard Drive came out originally from an HP DV 6t, not from the Dell XPS M1530.

    Again, thanks for the help.
