Bluetooth Headset on X200s - Broadcom Windows 7 Driver

So just installed Win7 RTM (v 7600) on a Lenovo X200s. I have a Plantronics 510 Bluetooth headset that I use for VOIP. I followed the connecting instructions (just as I've successfully done with other Lenovos) and gone through 1 failed attempt (which happened on the RC version 7100 too). WIn7 happily recommends I download the newest Broadcom Driver at http://www.broadcom.com/support/bluetooth/update.php

I download this driver install kit and when I attempt to install it I get an error immediately. (this worked fine for me on my old X61s)

"The program cannot upgrade your software. Please contact the manufacturer of your bluetooth device for support."

The problem with this is that Plantronics relies on the built in BT driver to work. I had a challenge on my older X61s (discovered it wasn't installing due to internal firewall issues) but knowing that, I took the X200s home and tried the install at home, off of corp net.

I've been able to connect successfully to other Bluetooth devices (like my mobile phone) but the BT headset won't take any drivers. Broadcom's "support" is anything but supportive.

I've uninstalled (through device manager) the BT Peripheral Device & scanned for hardware changes. Still get the same failure.

Anyone have any suggestions? Has anyone run into this problem also and found a solution or workaround? Thanks in advance.

    Win7 RTM Enterprise 6.1.6700 | Lenovo X200s | 4GB Ram | BIOS 2.4

I was having problems as well with my IOGEAR GBU321 Bluetooth Adapter with a Plantronics PLT510. But thanks to you and your link to the driver my headset works great now.

I am also having the same problem, I cannot get any of my bluetooth devices working including my Planstronic head set. I have tried the new broadcom drivers, plus some older ones and no luck. I use blue soli on my xp desktop, which works fine with all devices, but this software does not work on W7.

It seems there is no solution at the moment, will just have to wait, or does someone no different?

    Update:

I re-installed this new driver for the third time, and although not all services were installed correctly, the audio hands free did, and now both my devices are now working.

Well just installed windos 7 pro 1 day ago, and already having issues. similar sort as above, bluetooth headset motorola ht820 & Belkin F8T013, works fine on xp and vista, but for some reason is very flakey on 7 pro. I too followed the instructions to download the broadcom drivers and got the headset to work. Great, but not quite, few issues arising:
1 - reboot the machine headset profile disapears and you have to pair again
2 - can't get mic to work on the headset, just crackling live feed beck sound, like the mic is on but not working.
3 - changing from page to page on youtube or other sites seems to flake out after a short time and starts playing audio intermitantly
4 - BT logo in tray doesn't change to green colour to let you know your connected(slight niggle)
5 - the need to pair the devices via "0000" security seems to have gone?

so im gonna try and install some older widcom stuff and mess around with the btwaudio.inf file.

Anyone else having issues?Found a solution?

I'm also having bluetooth stereo headphone problems but w/ Kensington 3071 phones. They worked fine in Win 7 Beta and they still work in XP but not in my new install of Win 7 Home Premium. Tried the new Broadcom driver but it stalls and says "The program cannot upgrade your software. Please contact the manufacturer of your bluetooth device for support."
