.CAB File Placement - Dell Driver Packs
I love the improvement in the area of driver installation in Windows 7 from previous version.
For example, Dell offers "Driver Packs" which are .CAB files. I can download it, un-archive it, open Device Manager and simply let point Windows to that directory for each listed item in DM...and simply make my way down the list. (If you remember, the old way you actually had to drill down into the "network" dirctory, or the "chipset" directory etc).
I was wondering, is it even easier than that?
Can this .CAB file be placed somewhere so that the drivers are installed? If so, where and should the contents be extracted of the .CAB left as is?
