Can't find a diver for Canon EOS350D

Hi,

I've just done a search and can't find any threads on this topic so.....

I just installed all the software for a Canon EOS350D, including a WIA driver. When I connect the camera it is detected and the driver installation pop-up appears "Installing driver.." etc. but then it reports the driver installation was unsuccessful. I've tried letting Windows search online for a driver and also done a search of the Canon website but neither search found anything.

Has anybody ever successfully connected an EOS350D? If so I'd be grateful for any advice.

I would suggest to use a driver finder tool to find drivers. Hope your problem is fixed by using a tool.

I would be interested to learn if you are connecting to a USB 2 or USB 3 port and whether you have specifically installed the USB 3 driver.

It turns out that the EOS350D is not supported under Windows 7. Canon advised me to use a memory card reader.

Thanks to everyone who responded. I'll mark this as Solved, although it isn't really, is it?

Cyclic, I was using a USB2 port. Device Manager shows Etron drivers for USB3 are installed.
