Chipset drivers need updating?
A couple years ago I had a PC custom built for me and have had intermittent problems - crashes - every few months (separated by months with no problems). I was recently told I should see if my chipset drivers are up to date. I have no idea how to do this. This refers to the motherboard chips? My PC has a GIGABYTE X58A-UD3R. (I know there are at least 2 revisions but I don't know which I have.) A utility I run (HWiNFO32) says I have the "Intel X58 (Tylersburg 36S) + ICH10R" chipset. How do I tell if I've got the latest drivers? Does the Window Update utility have access to these drivers and check for updates or is this something I'm supposed to do?
