HP dv7t-6c00, Win7 x64, No Network Controller (Wireless) Driver

    Hey guys:

I just got an HP dv7t-6c00 (Win7 x64) and there is no network controller (wireless) driver available. I've let Windows 7 auto detect and try to find a driver and it cannot. I've tried to download all the drivers on the driver site: Software & Driver Downloads HP Pavilion dv7t-6c00 CTO Quad Edition Entertainment Notebook PC - HP Customer Care (United States - English)
and none of them work for the network controller. I do have the wired connection working.

I've also tried using auto-detection: HP Product Detection
and it didn't even bother to install anything for the network controller.

All I know is that I have a Realtek wireless card but I cannot find the driver anywhere. Can anyone point me to the right direction?

Use these snips to find your hardware vendor and ID. Then google it.

For future reference if you cant find a new driver the old one might work when installed in compatibility mode

have you tried installing it in compatibility mode?

    Right click the installer>properties>compatibility>chose OS

Make older programs run in this version of Windows

    Compatibility Mode

No I did not. I ended up looking at the drivers on the HP site and they list the hardware ID's of devices whose drivers they are about to install. Turns out none of them matched my ID so it wasn't a compatibility error. I emailed HP about it so let's hope they host the right one now.
